About the backlit leaves look
High sun sits directly behind the subject and pushes light through every leaf, rimming hair, beard and shoulders and flaring into the lens. An 85 mm lens at f/2 renders the nearest leaves as glowing soft shapes. From the camera side, a deep red gelled flash lands on part of the face and clothes. Deep shadow fills the gaps between the leaves.
Clothes, place and when to pick it
Styling stays dark and light-catching: an oversized sheer black organza shirt, wide black trousers and layered gold chains that pick up the red.
