About the frozen spray look
Just above the sea, the sun sits directly behind the subject, so backlit water glows and the hair and beard pick up a bright rim. A 35 mm lens works close to the rocks. Flash stops the spray completely, leaving clean droplets without blur. Its red gel paints one cheek or the edge of the hood, the only artificial color in a gold and dark-stone frame.
