Shards: a broken mirror AI photoshoot

Shards breaks the face into pieces by shooting through three to six broken mirror shards held in front of the lens. Six studio frames where an eye repeats in a tilted fragment, a profile sits beside a frontal view and light splinters off sharp edges.

Six frames from this shoot

Five frames and one detail, made by haloshot from three phone photos of one person.

About the mirror shards look

One hard spotlight comes from the side against a dark background, and the shards throw bright splinters of reflected light across the frame. A 50 mm lens at f/4 renders the nearest shard edges soft while the direct view and the reflections both stay in focus. Scale jumps between pieces, so a tiny full figure can sit next to a giant reflected eye in the same picture.

Clothes, place and when to pick it

Styling is black and white for clean geometry: a sharply cut black jacket and a stark white shirt collar that read clearly in every fragment. A silver ring adds one hard highlight. haloshot assembles the broken portrait from your own face, using three phone photos. Use it for an album cover, an art portfolio or a striking profile photo.
