About the smoke silhouette look
Dense haze fills the studio, and a strong red light behind the subject makes it glow. Almost everything in front reads as flat black. A second, narrow light shaped into a horizontal slit draws one blue line across the eyes. With a 35 mm lens at f/4, the camera works from eye level and from low down, where the shape looms largest against the smoke.
Clothes, place and when to pick it
Proportion is the whole point.
