Last Transfer: a tungsten film AI photoshoot in a metro tunnel

Last Transfer follows a late-night ride through a tiled metro transfer tunnel in six cool, quiet frames on tungsten-balanced cinema film. Fluorescent tubes turn cyan, each one wears a thin red glow, and the walls slide by while the figure on the moving walkway stays sharp.

About the tungsten film look
Rows of bare fluorescent tubes are the only light, overhead and a little frontal, soft yet clearly directional under the brow and chin. Because the film expects warm bulbs, the tubes record as muted cyan-blue, and a cinema stock processed without its anti-halation layer blooms a red rim around each one. The photographer rides the same belt with a 40 mm lens at f/2.8 and 1/30 s, so tiles streak past a steady figure.
Clothes, place and when to pick it
haloshot styles women in a calf-length charcoal cocoon coat with a pleated graphite skirt over trousers, and men in a below-the-knee charcoal coat with straight graphite trousers. Each outfit layers a gray hoodie, a fringed gray scarf and black knit gloves. The tunnel links two metro lines. Pick it for a moody profile picture or a night series with your own face.

How to shoot tungsten cine film under fluorescent light
Tungsten-balanced cine film records fluorescent tubes as cool cyan, and stock without its anti-halation backing adds red rims. Riding the walkway with the subject streaks the tunnel.
- Get written permission from the transit operator for a tiled tunnel with a moving walkway; late night keeps it empty.
- Load CineStill 800T rated at ISO 500 into a compact rangefinder with a 40 mm, no correction filter.
- Set f/2.8 and 1/30 s and ride the belt beside the subject, 1.5 to 3 m away, elbows braced.
- Shoot as they turn back; your shared speed keeps them sharp while tiles and tubes streak.
Watch for the end of the walkway and step off facing forward.
