Whiteout: an overexposed AI photoshoot

Two stops of deliberate overexposure burn the world to white in Whiteout, leaving a pair of black sunglasses as the darkest thing in the frame. You get five sunlit frames and one detail, washed in ecru and sand.

Six frames from this shoot

Five frames and one detail, made by haloshot from three phone photos of one person.

About the overexposure look

The sun shines straight into a 28 mm lens at f/5.6, from behind or above, throwing veiling flare and a few hexagonal spots across the image. White walls, white stone and salt flats bounce the light back until edges dissolve. Exposure sits at +2 EV on ISO 100, so whites clip and shadows lift to a pale cream. No flash is used anywhere.

Clothes, place and when to pick it

Clothes stay loose and light: an oversized linen shirt-jacket under a translucent white rain shell, wide ecru pants and cream leather slides. The wraparound black sunglasses go on, up and into a hand across the frames, so your face is never hidden for long. Pick it for a summer Instagram grid, a resort-wear moodboard or a minimal portfolio opener.
