About the sand reflection look
Getting the reflection means putting a 24 mm lens just a few inches above the sand, where even a thin film of water turns reflective. From that height the subject towers and the horizon sits low. A very late sun backlights hair, beard and shoulders. One saturated orange flash from the camera side touches part of the face and collar, the single artificial color against a peach and violet sky.
Clothes, place and when to pick it
The trench is oversized, sand-colored and rubberized, with an enormous collar, worn with trousers rolled up and bare feet.
